![]() When this happens, my only course of action is to hard reset the machine to get it to shutdown and then start it back up.ĭoes anyone have any suggestions on how to start to troubleshoot this one? Maybe a log file that I should be checking? (I checked some stuff in /var/log but nothing jumped out at me). The machine is still live but the screens go blank and I can't get them back. For no rhyme or reason that I can detect, after sometime the monitors will just shut off. That is a minor inconvenience, but I thought I would mention it in case it helps. When I log in though, I have to execute the randr command to get them to be positioned and oriented properly. Orientation, resolution and position are all detected correctly. The monitors, when I reach the login screen are all perfect. I have Deepin with LigthDM for the UI stuff - oh and I am pretty new to Arch, a recent convert from Ubuntu. I am using xorg with the randr configuration listed below to setup the screens. For video I am using an eyefinity 6 head card with four monitors (2 landscape, stacked, and one portrait on the left and one portrait on the right). My deskto is a workstation class machine so I've got two sockets, 64 GB RAM and several drives. ![]() I'm running Arch with kernel version 4.11.5-1-ARCH. I need some expert troubleshooting support on this one.
